13th February 2008

Dear Parents,

Well I did say normal service would be resumed as soon as possible and it is except…..the building work! Over the holiday there will be quite a few changes as they prepare to change over the toilets and start the major work. Obviously most of this needs to be done when we are all not around so next week will see a flurry of activity:

  • 3 windows in Class 3 blocked up
  • 1 window put in the end wall of Class 3
  • Door put in the end of Class 3
  • New ceiling and lights put in old hall
  • Pipes and plumbing to install new toilets

When we return Class 3 will only be able to access their classroom by the new door at the back of their classroom. It will be clear to see and this will be their only way of entrance and exit so they will be keeping fit like Class 2. I’m sure we’ll all get used to this as we have been very flexible so far and the gain of the new hall, after being in the new one at Northleach, will be FANTASTIC!!

Farm Trip

On Monday our Reception children went to visit Mr. & Mrs. Richmond at Manor Farm. They watched the cows being milked and then explored the farm yard, collecting eggs, seeing the animals and enjoying splashing in puddles. It was great to have such a perfect place to visit and will help in their topic on Animals.
