15th May 2008
Dear Parents,
As I am sure you are all aware the interviews for the KS2 teaching post took place yesterday. We were fortunate in having 4 very good candidates and felt privileged that they wanted to come to our school. There however does have to be an appointment and I can welcome Mr. Graham Murray to our staff. He will be taking up the position in September 2008 and taking the Y3 and Y4 class. Mrs. Fitch will be moving to Y5 and Y6. If you wish to discuss anything with me please just call and make an appointment.
I would like to thank Miss Robinson very much for all her hard work and commitment over the last year. She has been very supportive and always given of her best both for her class and the school. I am very grateful to her for this and wish her every success in the future.
Bonjour Y6
The Cotswold School are holding a Languages class on Saturday 17th May from 10.00a.m. to 12.30p.m. If any Y6 children are keen to attend please can they inform me tomorrow morning and I can pass the names on. It will obviously be over to Parents to transport. Au revoir!!
Small Change
Lauren Jones, Grace Mead and Jess Green have come up with a FANTASTIC idea to raise money for endangered animals. They have made little money boxes and are asking the children, and you, to put in small change like 1p, 2p and 5p. They have placed their boxes in the foyer by the hatch, on the round table by the new toilets and in Class 3. I hope we can all support them in this venture, so please send in the change when you have any.

Celebration Week
Can you believe that our CELEBRATION week is now nearly over and it has been very enjoyable. The Y6 children are well fed every morning and it has been great seeing them relaxed and cheerful. We are very proud of all the children who have been beavering away and shown such enthusiasm. We are certainly impressed that they all try and give their best….what more could we ask.
Kind regards,
T. Buck
