10th July 2008
Dear Parents,
Goodness me any ideas as to how we can slow time down!! The days are whizzing by and we are having fun with all our Eco-School work and Old Time Music Hall rehearsal. With reports coming out tomorrow the pressure is on….but we’ll get there.
KS2 SATS
As you may have heard on the TV over the weekend the KS2 SATS results have been delayed. These are now not out until Tuesday15th July. Y6 will get them as soon as I do.
Eco-School Days
Today we started our activities to help remind us of the wonderful world we live in. We have 4 activities taking place, WORLD BISCUITS, POSTERS, POETRY AND COLLAGE. The work is to transform the library into OUR WONDERFUL WORLD by having plants and animals, poems and wishes for the future. On Friday Jo Leigh will be making willow sculptures to put in our Willow House and as the children put them up they can have a wish for the world. We will leave all the work up so it will be bright and cheerful for September.
DON’T FORGET THAT TOMORROW IS OUR GREEN DAY – CHILDREN CAN COME DRESSED TO PORTRAY OUR WONDERFUL WORLD AND NEED £1.
This is to be used to help the Y6 Buy a New HIPPO BIN for the Playground.
Summer Play Rangers
They are coming to the Cotswolds and will be around at various times. If you need anymore information please contact Katie, Play Ranger Team Leader on Office: 01452 505548 or Mobile: 07790929069.

Sports Afternoon
Children will be informed of this and each will be allocated a colour. If some of the PE Kit could be that colour we would appreciate it as it makes identification easy. We do have bands for those unable to do so. ALL CHILDREN NEED TO BE PICKED UP FROM THE VILLAGE HALL AT 3.00P.M.
Old Time Music Hall
After the dress rehearsal on Monday the children will return to school to be picked up as usual.
On Tuesday ALL the children will be at the Village Hall so ALL children will need to be picked up from there please. Class 1 & 2 are going to join in the audience and need £1 brought into School to cover an ice cream/lolly. It would be fun if they dressed up but this is not compulsory. They could just wear a pretty skirt, blouse and straw hat and the boys checked shirt, jeans and flat cap!!
DON’T FORGET WE ARE EXPECTING YOU TO COME DRESSED UP AND READY TO SING!!
Dinners for September
Just to let you know that dinners will NOT start until MONDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER so for the first 3 Days everyone will need a packed lunch. The cost will also be £2.20 for a dinner and 80p for a pudding. The menu will come out on the first day back.
Well must now get on with finishing those last reports. I can tell you they have taken the teachers a lot of time and they have thought carefully about what is written. They have been checked but PLEASE…..there may be a few little mistakes because actually we are only human!!
Ever onwards to next week. Get gargling as we need your voices and you will be amazed as the TALENT we have.
Kind regards,
T. Buck
