Dear Parents,
It was certainly worth going to see Joseph yesterday and I can safely say that by the look on the children's faces they thoroughly enjoyed it! The whole production was excellent and we knew they had seen ours because there were similarities!! The cast was full of energy and sang and danced with gusto although I'm sure the St. Andrew's choir in the circle helped them. Afterwards we had to wait for the bus but that gave us a fortunate break, as we were able to see the cast as they came by. Jacob on stage and off looked exactly the same, the brothers were chatty and Joseph came out to see us. Well the whole of Class 3 and 4 were completely silent and just smiled that smile when you're awe-struck. The poor boy soon became tongue-tied himself as he tried to engage in conversation. We however did muster a huge cheer and the bus came so he went back to rehearsals ......fast!!
Many thanks to the PTA who covered the cost of the coach.
Walking home/cycling
If you wish your child to walk or cycle to and from school could you please send in a note stating that you consent to this. The letter will then be given to all members of staff so we all know that they are allowed.
Tesco Sports Vouchers
Last year we were able to get a lot of PE equipment through this scheme. We would be very grateful if you could collect the tokens and a box is already in the library by the printer.
Music Lessons
If anyone else would like to start learning either violin, piano, flute, clarinet or brass please see me as soon as possible as lessons are all starting.
Tennis
We are once again having tennis lessons here at school and this will be for Y3 and Y2. Children can bring their own equipment if they wish but all the things they need will be supplied.
Bonus Ball
This is a very good, quick and easy way to raise a fantastic £1,200 per year for school and have the chance of winning the Bonus Ball prize each week. There are some spare balls and if anyone would like one please contact Wendy James, parent of Libby and Megan in Class 2.
