31st October 2007
Dear Parents,
Here we are in Autumn 2 and I hope you all had a good break. I am happy to announce Christmas songs are starting and the orchestra are already playing We Three Kings and Little Donkey!! It seems as bad as the shops to start all this in October but we only have 7 weeks left until we break up for the festivities. Our Christingle will be in the last week, but I'll confirm the date next week so you can all put it in your diaries. Please remember we expect all children to attend.
Admin and Dinner Supervisors Job
As many of you may have guessed Ms. Evans, A Dinner Supervisor and Teaching Assistant, is having a baby in January and so will be leaving her post here in November. Many thanks to her for all the hard work and commitment shown and good luck with number 5!! We therefore have an opportunity for a Dinner Supervisor at 5 hours per week along with 2 afternoons of admin work. This is to help in the office, do general jobs or help in the classroom. Anyone interested please see me as soon as possible. There may be more hours as time goes on, only working term time and still able to bring and pick the children up plus......working with an excellent team that puts all the children first. Job sharing is also a possibility.
Open Evening - PTA AGM
We would very much like to open up the classrooms for you to come in on MONDAY 26TH NOVEMBER. Teachers will be available to talk to you and the children's work will be out for you to see. This is a time to see what your child is doing and to chat informally about how they are getting on. Remember if you would like a more formal chat please make an appointment with the class teacher or myself. Our motto is.....There is never a problem .......ONLY A SOLUTION.
The School will be open from 6.00p.m. - 7.45p.m. and at 7.45p.m. we will have the Annual AGM for the PTA. We need as many of you to attend this as possible due to the Constitution stating numbers needed at such meeting. The AGM will only last for about 15 minutes.
Grand Raffle
Tomorrow you will receive information about our GRAND RAFFFLE. Basically this is a great and easy way to raise money for school funds by selling raffle tickets. There are great prizes and one is a HUGE cash one. What we need is all of you to sell the books sent home.....AND MORE!!!

Don't forget to keep collecting for the new Art Project. A box is in the Library by the printer to put all your bits.....the more the merrier. We need shiny stuff, natural things, buttons, shells and pebbles plus anything else!! Mrs. Bowers is starting the main part next Thursday morning.
We are still awaiting a secure start date for the building work to start, but all tenders are in and we should be hearing soon. As you will see the hall is cleared and the Reception children now in the Staff Room.....and very cosy it is too! The outside shed however MUST be the TARDIS as an awful lot went in there!!
Kind regards,
T. Buck
