15 Nov 2007 - Newsletter 10

15th November 2007

Dear Parents,

We have been very impressed with the effort and commitment shown by all of you in our WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK. The children are certainly enjoying the walk and we have had children skipping up and down and singing back. We have certainly got a lot of rewards to give out next Monday and it is a REAL hope that this will continue as it is helping you all keep fit, cutting down CO2 use as well as relieving the congestion around school. So not quite in the words of Strictly Come Dancing.....KEEP WALKING!!

Those doing activities at school are certainly putting in lots of effort and look very red after the bunny hops!!!

Sponsored Trike Ride

Just to let you know that our Reception children raised a fantastic £130.80 when they did their Sponsored Trike Ride a few weeks ago. What a tremendous effort and this will keep our children from Kenya in school and feed them.

We do however need to keep raising money so our next fund raising event is on TUESDAY 20th NOVEMBER. A group of the older children are organising games for the rest to do. The children therefore need to bring in a small amount of money, certainly no more than £1, so they can have a go during the afternoon. We are all very impressed with the children who not only organise the events, but so willingly bring along their money to raise what is needed. Jack a quick plea....please try to send in change so we don't have to struggle on the day - 20ps and 10ps would be great!

Shoe Boxes

Many thanks for all the help you gave us in getting the shoe boxes for children who are very much less fortunate than us. Mrs. Fitch took a whole car full down last week and they are now in lorries and heading off these grateful children.

This again is a very important part of developing our VALUES and we are impressed with how the children respond.
