EcoSchool Newsletter 1

Welcome to our first letter of the year. We are proud to say we have a new committee with Kristie Guest and Matthew Rose as our Chairpeople. Milly Chapple and Ellie Bearcroft are the secretaries. We have Eco Warriors who are out to save the world, they are Poppy, Mercedes, Maggie, Euan, Philippa, David, Francesca, Aisling, Miah, Charlie, Georgia and Grace.
Silver Award
We are trying to get our Silver Award by November of this year. To do this we need to RECYCLE, SAVE ENERGY, EAT HEALTHILY and KEEP FIT.
At school we now recycle:-
* Cardboard
* Keep good scrap paper for Pre School
* Paper
* Plastics
* Tin foil
* Mobile phones send these into school if you have any
* Print cartridges
* Fruit and vegetable waste
* Left over food bits for Mrs Poultons chickens
Light Monitors
In every classroom we have a light monitor. They are:-
Oliver Lockey in Class 4
Emily Hulbert in Class 3
Callum Rowe in Class 2
Everybody in Reception.
They will turn off the lights when they are not needed and so far the job is being done VERY WELL.
This months competition
What is your favourite bird?
The children have to tell us through writing or pictures, what their favourite bird is and why.
Entries go into the Eco Box in the hall by Friday 30th September.
Remember our new motto.
