Youngsters shine at inspection and chalk up double success
Staff and pupils at St Andrew's CofE Primary in Chedworth are celebrating exceptional reports from two school watchdogs.
The school, which has 92 pupils and 15 staff, has been classed outstanding by the Statutory Inspection for Anglican Schools.
It has also been rated as good in every category by Ofsted inspectors.
The Ofsted report praised At Andrew's for successfully addressing the small amount of key issues raised by the last inspection.
It concludes: "The school has a vision of celebrating pupils' successes and developing their self-esteem. It provides academic standards above average with good care, guidance and support."
The SIAS report, which inspects religious lessons and worship, praised the school's Christian values, saying they created a way of life for all those in the community.
Headteacher Tina Buck said: "I'm thrilled that everything came out so well because of the hard work and dedication from the staff and pupils. Our big vision came off and, for an already popular school, this is the icing on the cake."
Both reports have four grades: outstanding, good, satisfactory and inadequate. The grades are given through inspectors watching lessons and speaking to teachers and pupils about their school.
