Spring (3) 2006

Progress so far -

1. Correct bins are being used for recycling
    - paper
    - card
    - tin foil
    - plastic
    - tins
    - chicken food
    - cartridges and phones
2. Reduced waste by a half - smaller Grundon bin now in place.
3. 4 days now having fruity breaks - Wednesday are WICKED!
4. Litter around site has been very much reduced.
5. Lights and computers now being switched off when not in use.
6. All children taking more part in physical activity each week.

ATTAINED SILVER AWARD IN NOVEMBER

Targets for Spring and Summer

1. Visit and landfill site for Y3 - Y6
2. Visit organic farm for Rec - Y2
3. Lunch box challenge - reduce waste in our lunch boxes.
4. Use more white tac - which is reusable rather than staples.
5. Only laminate items that are to be reused.
6. Buy Fair Trade coffee and tea for Staff room.
7. Think about events we are having and plan the recycling into it.
8. Look at how the children come to school.
9. Inform local community through Hill and Valley.
